The Sustainability Apex Programme is a collaborative initiative between the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and The Law Society of Singapore (LSS). It aims to strengthen the competitiveness of accounting and law firms in sustainability-related services such as advisory, reporting and assurance. The programme also aims to foster closer collaboration and exchanges, to create sustainability alliances to cross-learn and deal hunt together.
The masterclasses are designed for accountants, lawyers, and business professionals involved in sustainability practices, reporting, and compliance. Those in leadership positions who want to stay informed on the latest ESG regulations and strategies will also benefit, as the masterclasses focus on the impact of new regulations and developments in the ESG space and how these will impact a professional services firm’s operations.
The masterclasses cover a wide range of topics, including sustainability reporting standards (such as ISSB), ESG regulations, environmental risk management, and integrating sustainability into business strategies.

The masterclasses are conducted online, with live presentations by experts in each sustainability field, such as risk management, decarbonisation, biodiversity etc. Each session is followed by an interactive Q&A segment, allowing participants to ask questions and receive immediate feedback.
Each masterclass typically lasts 120 minutes, which includes a 100-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute live Q&A.
Our masterclasses focus on the impact of the regulations, ESG hot topics and how firms need to change the way they operate and advise their clients. The masterclass series, as well as the upcoming workshops under the SAP, will be especially useful for service providers providing sustainability services, including sustainability reporting, advisory and assurance to businesses.
The SAP Masterclasses, including the workshop that will be scheduled early next year, is especially tailored for professional services providers. To effectively run a sustainability practice and engage clients on a broader level, the SAP masterclasses provide essential insights into the evolving sustainability landscape.
These masterclasses focus on ESG regulations, sustainability reporting standards like ISSB, and how these changes impact businesses and advisory roles. Understanding these trends is crucial for framing your conversations with clients, to support you in your advisory/assurance work to help them comply with, and benefit from, emerging sustainability regulations. The masterclasses also explore the sustainability value chain, showing you which sector/firm type to approach for possible collaborations.
No prior knowledge is required. The masterclasses are structured to cater to both beginners and professionals with advanced knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices. Foundational concepts will be introduced, but advanced topics will also be covered. Firm owners are all encouraged to attend, regardless of previous ESG experience.
Yes, the sessions are recorded. Registered participants will have access to the recordings to review the material at their own pace, with unlimited playback. This includes the live Q&A session.
All recordings will be uploaded 1 week after the online masterclass.
Participants who purchase masterclass access after the workshop will be given the same unrestricted access, equal to those who attended the live session.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance from ISCA and LSS after completion of each masterclass, and an additional certificate for attending 12 masterclasses. This certificate demonstrates that they have been introduced to how ESG regulations impact a firm's operations and are equipped to address these challenges effectively. It signifies their readiness to incorporate sustainability practices and navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.
Our participants will be exposed to applications of sustainability in the business context, with each session focusing on different key aspects of the value chain/ecosystem, such as regulations, risk management, biodiversity, human rights etc.
You can register online through the official ISCA website. After logging into ISCA eservices, participants can select their desired masterclasses, and payment can be made via various methods, including credit card and bank transfer.

Both the ISCA Sustainability Assurance Professional Certification and the SAP masterclasses complement each other and are essential for firms planning to start or grow their sustainability assurance and advisory services.
In the ISCA Sustainability Professional Certification Programme, it’s more technical, where the focus is on sustainability reporting. In the capstone module of the Programme, participants are guided on how to conduct materiality assessments, scenario analysis, and how to transit from the existing GRI and other common standards to be ISSB-compliant, through case studies and exercises in class.
Together, the ISCA certification and SAP masterclasses offer a well-rounded foundation — one for technical assurance, and the other for strategic client engagement and practice development.
